Celebrity skin specialist Janet Harris gives Rachel the complete run down on the fat and cellulite reducing treatment that can produce permanent results and take as little as 4 treatments for visible results - a process she says is the only FDA approved treatment for thigh reduction. Rachel Ray's response is that it sounds too good to be true but a viewer from The Rachel Ray show participates in the VelaShape treatment and shows the before and after outcome.

Today Show correspondent Janice Lieberman briefs Meredith Vieira on the subject of cellulite on the Gimmick or For Real? segment of the Today Show. Dr Mitchell Chasin explains the causes of cellulite and various cellulite products are discussed. Two cellulite procedures, Derma Wave, a form of mesotherapy, and Vela Smooth are used in an 8 week case study with before and after photos revealing the results. With a conclusion that indicates there is no cure for cellulite but that some therapies, although quite costly and time consuming, can show some positive results.

Dr Neil Sadick (dermatologist) speaks about the VelaShape machine for fat and cellulite reduction - a non invasive process with virtually no negative side effects. VelaShape is usually about $500 per treatment and typically takes about four (20 minute treatments) to remove 1 inch of localized fat deposits or to markedly improve cellulite deposits. A treatment is given to a patient on the show and the cellulite removal process is explained in detail by Dr Sadick. The patient describes the cellulite treatment as massage like and is excited about the ease and results of the cellulite solution.
